May 15

I saw you, so beautiful, so alluring
like the way the wind chases after the sun
around and around the earth.
I knew I had to have you.

I walked for miles,
Like wise-men,
but the city lights I crave
blocked out the star to guide.
I tried to find my away alone,
but your frozen heart
and ice-blue eyes
left me out in the cold.

I finally found the way,
a small path with one door
and I crossed this divide
only to find you there.
I reached out to touch you,
and the coolness of glass
arrested my hand.
I could see you so close,
but I was only looking out a window.
You forever remained out of reach.
